Maria Rusike aka Ria is one of the co-founders of Royal Destiny. She orchestrated the creation of the gospel group with Kenny Mangena and her sister Nonku. Maria has worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this group. She was born into a Christian family of gospel singers. She sang in Sunday school and Youth group at a tender age of five. Even though Maria was too young at the time, she joined the outreach youth group under the leadership of the late Mrs Hilda Mdleleni when she was seven.
Maria remembers instances when she had to wear high heels in order to be on a par with other members of the choir who were by far taller and older than her. “No one would dare say no you are too young or you can’t travel with the group” remembers Nonku, who is Maria’s older sister, “she always had her own way around things somehow”.
Maria sings backing vocals and occasionally takes to the lead in the group. Just like everyone at Royal Destiny Maria is also working on a solo album. She maintains that although all the members of the group have individual projects and ministries they will always stick together as Royal Destiny which is a sanctuary and place of refreshing for them.
Maria worships at Elpis Christian Ministries in London under the Pastoral leadership of Pastor Victor and Lydia Darter. She also serves in the in house choir Voices of Expectations and occasionally backs in Praise and Worship. Maria has also served as a Sunday School Teacher. Maria loves to worship and when she sings, the song ‘comes alive’ with her natural gestures, smile and dances. Maria’s passion is reading the bible and Christian books. She also enjoys the most spending time with her family. Maria is absolutely loved by those who know her. You will surely be blessed when you meet her.

Nonkumbulo ‘Nonku’ Adonis
Nonku one of the co-founders of the group started singing from a tender age of seven. Nonku was already a lead vocalist for the Sunday school group and later on the well known Youth of the Apostolic Faith & Acts Church which was led by Ntonguntongu aka Hilda Mdleleni. Nonku did not only grow as a singer but also in spirit. From the age of ten, Nonku would be invited by the late Bishop L.C.M. Mabhula to lead the spirit filled congregation during the time of praise and worship.
She was an enthusiastic member of the Outreach Youth Group which tore the outskirts of Mbembesi ministering the gospel in pursuit of the lost souls. Nonku would receive ovations for her truly touching and powerful soprano whenever she took to the platform. She became a member of the anointed senior church choir, which was made up of the likes of the late Hilda, Mophakathi who are awaiting the rapture this minute, and the living legends (intombi zevangeli) Nomvuyo Sarah J Mabhula and Nomhle Ndzombane.
Talking of the elder sister SJ Mabhula Nonku says “she is my hero, my inspiration”. In her own words Nonku said “Royal Destiny is our preparation for our Heavenly destiny, where we are joint heirs with Christ. Nonku also discovered her other hidden talent, which is acting. She together with the other members of the gospel group launched a highly educational, informative and extremely entertaining cultural group called Arise where she played a leading role with such charm, many an audience were left in both tears and laughter….that’s Nonku.
She is working on her uplifting solo album , UYEZA(He is coming). Royal Destiny has also played a crucial role in the production of this album. She is a moving natural talent and bundle of energy worth watching.

My name is Gift Mahlupeka Moyo,born 32 years ago in the remote town of Chimanimani. I was born into a family of ten, being the nineth born myself.

I am a young Business Entrepreneur and a Minister of the Gospel through music. I am also a member of the U.K. based gospel outfit Royal Destiny.

The album MUKADZI WAPOTIFA is my third studio offering that I believe to be inspired by the Holy Spirit; my own personal experiences and life issues in general.
Having grown up in much adversity I believe I am called to encourage and inspire those who have suffered the same. From child hood I have been a victim of emotional and psychological abuse to a point I did not believe anything good could come out of me.
I believe that when you suffer abuse it only takes the hand of God for that spirit to lift as this could follow you all your life.

I thank God for Royal Destiny who found me when I had lost all hope. I liken my connection to them with the story of the good Samaritan. They believed in me and allowed God to use them to rejuvenate my spirit and faith in God. I have grown in my walk with God because of their encouragement and my greatest desire now is not to delight in the pleasures of this world but to seek first the kingdom of God which will bring all these things to me. I therefore urge everyone who has suffered the same to remain focused on doing everything unto the glory of God as He will lift you up.

Tawanda Rodwell Magunde aka Minister Tee is an all round gospel musician. He is a singer, song writer, choreographer and plays Acoustic guitar, piano, Saxophone, drums and bass guitar. He is also a producer in his own right.
Tawanda started music at a very young age and works full time as a musician. He has also worked as a member of Xtreme Afrique where he featured on the song Ndiringe. He has also provided backing vocals and acoustics for several gospel artistes in Zimbabwe. The versatile gospel musician said his passion is reading the bible and playing soccer. He also claims to be good at playing soccer. Tawanda has recently released his debut solo album Rumbidzo which is a 2017 production.
